Digital Learning Program 2025

Years R-2

During the junior primary years students have access to iPads during the school day. They do not bring them home and iPads remain the property of the school.

Years 3-6

During Years 3-6 REC operates a 1:1 Chromebook model.

The College provides students with a Chromebook device in Year 3 as part of a Commitment to Pay agreement, which is paid in 4 annual instalments over 4 years. Once the final instalment is paid, ownership of the device transfers to the parent/carer. Parents/carers are required to complete a Commitment to Pay form prior to collecting the device in Week 0.

The College provides students with a Lenovo laptop in Year 7 as part of a Commitment to Pay agreement, which is paid in 4 annual instalments over 4 years. Once the final instalment is paid, ownership of the device transfers to the parent/carer. Parents/carers are required to complete a Commitment to Pay form prior to collecting the device in Week 0.

Years 11-12

The senior years are under a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) program where the students are able to bring their own device to the school and are allowed access to the school’s resources.
While there are no hard limits on device specifications, we highly recommend a modern laptop to ensure compatibility with the school network and ease of access.

ICT User Agreements

User agreements are updated each year and must be signed by both parent/caregiver and student. Access to the schools resources may be denied if this agreement isn’t signed by parent/caregiver and student and returned before the due date.
